The Temagami Information Centre

The Temagami Chamber of Commerce operates the Information Centre which in 2017 was moved to the Historic Train Station. Conveniently located in the centre of the community right on Highway 11. Open 5 days a week in the summer and limited times during the off-season, the train station is wheelchair accessible and has public washrooms. Mail, telephone and email enquiries are responded to all year round.
Our Temagami Visitors Guide is printed by the Chamber and mailed to Tourist Information Centres all over Ontario and mailed anywhere in the world upon request. Exposure and promotion of Tourism and businesses, on a year-round basis, to an ever expanding market is the primary concern of the Temagami Information Centre.
Stop by the Information Centre and find a host of information, from maps to guides to brochures of your points of interest and some unique Temagami souvenirs. We have a wide range of lake maps to help plan a possible outing on an area lake, as well as hiking maps. Soon there will also be photographic displays of the history of the area including Grey Owl and the founding of Temagami.
Our summer students and year around staff would be happy to help you find whatever you may need, whether you are just passing through, or a visitor to the Temagami area.
The Temagami and District Chamber of Commerce is representative of Businesses and Tourism by advertising and making our Adventure guide available at shows and exhibitions. We promote and sponsor many events in our area.
