ATVing in Temagami

ATV’s are quickly becoming the most popular form of motorized tourism in the Temagami area. From early May after the last traces of snow and ice are gone, riders can explore the vast network of backcountry trails for at least 7 months until the snow comes again in November. A wide variety of trails from graded gravel roads to one lane bush trails to swamps with lots of “chocolate” beckons all levels of riders from beginners to experts.

Wildlife viewing opportunities exist that cannot be found on the main roads and highways. Moose, bear and beaver are just as curious to see you as you are to see them. Other photo opportunities from rugged cliff tops overlooking secluded lakes to grassy paths through the giant pines of the old growth forests will create memories that will last a lifetime.

Most lodges cater to the ATV enthusiast with packages that include gourmet dining, satellite TV, internet connections and facilities to wash your machines off as well as daily trip consultations and local guiding services.
