Boating in Temagami

Lake Temagami boosts some of the finest boating in North America. With over 2000 miles of shoreline, a length of 25 miles from north to south and over 1500 island, the many bays and inlets offer either a day cruise or an extended vacation.

Wildlife viewing opportunities exist that cannot be found on the main roads and highways. Moose, bear and beaver are just as curious to see you as you are to see them.

Other photo opportunities from rugged cliff tops overlooking secluded lakes to grassy paths through the giant pines of the old growth forests will create memories that will last a lifetime.

Whether it is a 30 foot cruiser, a 14 foot runabout or even a kayak, the well maintained waterways help you navigate from the far north end with its rocky outcrops and its sandy beach to the very south end all while enjoying spectacular scenery. Moor in one of the secluded bays and cool off with a relaxing swim, a picnic lunch and an awesome sunset. The access points in the town of Temagami and at the end of the Lake Temagami Access Road offer boat ramps and ample parking.
